First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV will preside over the general audience in St. Peter's Square on Wednesday morning, October 21.

The Pope is continuing his recovery at the Apostolic Palace following surgery to remove an adenocarcinoma from his lung. He was discharged from Gemelli Hospital on Saturday, October 17. While he typically visits his residence in Castel Gandolfo on Tuesdays, the Holy See Press Office stated he will not travel there during his recovery.

His upcoming schedule remains partially uncertain, as officials have not confirmed if he will proceed with a scheduled visit to Assisi on October 27.
