First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV will visit Uruguay, Argentina, and Peru between November 6 and 17, 2026. The papal trip remains scheduled despite the Pope undergoing surgery to remove the lower lobe of his right lung due to pulmonary adenocarcinoma.

Representatives from the Pontifical Major Seminary of Santiago are preparing to travel by car to join the papal itinerary in Córdoba, Buenos Aires, and Luján. Father Fernando Valdivieso, rector of the seminary, said the group will drive more than 1,000 kilometers across the cordillera to participate in the visit.
