Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV began an apostolic journey to France on September 25, 2026, which includes a visit to the UNESCO headquarters. The trip is scheduled to run through September 28.

During the flight from Rome to Paris, the Pope greeted media representatives and stated his primary purpose for the visit is to proclaim the peace of Christ to the world. He noted that this message is particularly important at the current time.

The Pope also addressed media members regarding a previous incident during a return flight from Spain that prevented them from traveling back to Rome together.
