Diocese of Aversa to begin new pastoral year

The Diocese of Aversa will begin the 2026-2027 pastoral year with a diocesan assembly at the Cathedral on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 19:00. Bishop Angelo Spinillo will preside over the meeting, which follows the biblical theme "Radicati e costruiti in Cristo."

Giuseppe Notarstefano, the national president of Azione Cattolica Italiana, will offer a reflection on the shared mission of laity and consecrated persons. The assembly includes priests, deacons, religious, representatives from parish pastoral councils, and synodal representatives from all communities in the diocese.

The upcoming year focuses on the formation of laity and the responsibility of the baptized within the people of God. This direction follows the post-synodal orientations of the Italian Church, specifically the documents "Lievito di pace e di speranza" and the guidelines "Radicati e costruiti in Cristo."
