Spanish Episcopal Conference presents 2026 Diocesan Church Day

The Spanish Episcopal Conference presented the campaign for the 2026 Day of the Diocesan Church on Monday, October 26, at its headquarters. The event, led by Bishop Vicente Rebollo, head of the secretariat for the support of the Church, and director José María Albalad, introduced the theme "God counts on you" for the upcoming observance on Sunday, November 8.

The campaign uses messages from Pope Leo XIV's visit to Spain in June to encourage the baptized to participate in the mission of their local dioceses and parishes. The initiative seeks to increase awareness of Church activities across the country while reinforcing commitments to transparency and accountability.

According to the secretariat, the work of the Church relies on the time, skills, prayer, and financial support of millions of people. The campaign emphasizes that the life of dioceses depends on the responsible response of all members of the faithful according to their specific vocations.
