St.Jude Thaddeus Sub-Parish Celebrates Patronal Feast, Looks Ahead To Parish Status

St. Jude Thaddeus Sub-Parish in Ojwina celebrated its patronal feast with a focus on its upcoming transition to parish status in 2027. During the Eucharistic celebration, 101 Christians received the Sacrament of Confirmation and catechists renewed their vows.

Bishop Emeritus of Lira Joseph Franzelli presided over the liturgy. In his homily, Bishop Franzelli told the faithful to imitate the faith and dedication of the saints. He noted that St. Jude Thaddeus, one of the twelve apostles, was entrusted with proclaiming the Gospel and remaining faithful to the teachings of Jesus Christ. The Bishop encouraged the community to embrace their responsibility as missionaries.
