First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV is scheduled to visit France from September 25 to 28, 2026.

The visit includes a youth vigil at Stade de France on September 25, where 80,000 places were registered in less than an hour. On the following day, nearly 600,000 people are expected to attend Mass at Concorde Square and along the Champs-Élysées. Due to high attendance, the event area has expanded to include Étoile Square and Grande-Armée Avenue.

In Lourdes, the shrine reached its maximum capacity of 150,000 people and closed registration after one day. The Pope will celebrate a closing Mass in Metz on September 28, where nearly 40,000 people have registered. In Paris, approximately 15,000 volunteers and 2,500 journalists are assigned to the visit.
