Trevor Cribben Merrill publishes new Catholic novel

Trevor Cribben Merrill has published a new novel titled The Comforts of Exile. The 311-page book, released by Wiseblood Books, serves as a sequel to Merrill's previous work, Minor Indignities.

The story follows Colin Phelps, a 22-year-old recent graduate and convert, as he pursues literary ambitions in France after being encouraged to teach abroad. While living with a host family and falling in love with their devout daughter, Laure, Phelps struggles with his ability to write. The narrative explores his psychological state through a religious lens, specifically examining what he describes as an angelic imagination.
