Pope Leo XIV prayed for France and Christian families on Saturday evening, September 26, at the Grotto of Massabielle in Lourdes. This visit marks the second stage of his apostolic journey to France.

During the prayer before the statue of the Virgin Mary, the Pope asked for wise and generous leaders for the country. According to Aleteia, the Pope also engaged in silent prayer, touched the rock, and lit a candle. He is the third pope in history to make a pilgrimage to the grotto.
