Ursuline students share their faith through Rosaries for Hope
First source report
Students at Ursuline Academy of Dallas participate in the Rosaries for Hope club to create rosaries for people in need. The club meets three times each semester to handcraft the prayer beads.
The completed rosaries are distributed by chaplains from the Diocese of Dallas to patients in local hospitals. Students also bring the rosaries on summer mission trips to other countries. In June, high school students from several diocesan schools traveled to Costa Rica and distributed rosaries made by the Ursuline students to people there.
Melanie Álvarez, a theology teacher and the club moderator, said the student-led group allows them to practice Marian devotion while serving others.
