Good Shepherd Parish to host Knot So Ordinary Date
First source report
Good Shepherd Parish in Hoxton Park will host its final Knot So Ordinary Date of 2026 on Sunday, 18 October. The event, which begins at 12.30pm in the parish school hall, is open to all married couples, including those married for several decades. This expands the program from its usual focus on couples married seven years or less.
The afternoon includes a shared meal and table discussions led by experienced couples, including Reg and Cynthia Argana, members of the parish community, and members of Couples for Christ. These conversations cover topics such as praying together and listening to one another. The program concludes with afternoon tea and optional spiritual activities, including reconciliation, a holy hour of Eucharistic adoration, and Mass.
Parish priest Fr Simon Kitimbo said the event allows couples to celebrate the vocation of marriage together. Each session typically draws around 25 couples.
