World Youth Day 2027: Register now for Seoul!
First source report
Young Catholics in the Archdiocese of Saint Andrews and Edinburgh can register for the 2027 World Youth Day in Seoul, South Korea, until Friday, November 6. The Archdiocese is organizing a pilgrimage for participants aged 19 to 35, scheduled from August 1 to August 9, 2027.
This event marks the first World Youth Day held in South Korea and the second in Asia since the 1995 gathering in Manila. Established by Pope John Paul II in 1985, the international event brings together young people from various countries for prayer and Mass with the Pope. Sr. Rian van Berkum, the Archdiocesan Youth Co-ordinator, recently visited Seoul to inspect preparations for the upcoming pilgrimage.
