Pope Leo XIV tells the sick in Lourdes: You are not a burden

First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV told sick pilgrims in Lourdes that they are not a burden but are precious treasures of the Church. During his third day in France on Sunday, September 27, the Pope visited the Accueil Notre-Dame to meet with caregivers, volunteers, religious sisters, and lay employees who look after pilgrims.

According to Luis Javier Moxó Soto of Religión en Libertad, the Pope used the visit to defend the dignity of life and rejected the idea that compassion could justify planned death. While at the Massabielle grotto, the Pope also asked the French Church for truth and reparation regarding abuses and entrusted peace to Mary.
