History
Founded in 1872, the Diocese of Ogdensburg (Latin: Dioecesis Ogdensburgensis) serves the North Country region of New York State in the United States as a suffragan of the Archdiocese of New York. Its territory takes in all of Clinton, Essex, Lewis, Hamilton and St. Lawrence counties along with the northern portion of Herkimer county. St. Mary's in Ogdensburg is its cathedral, and Terry R. LaValley is the bishop.
