Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Bishop Frank J. Caggiano has issued a decree mandating a new Priest Personnel Manual for all priests assigned to pastoral ministry in the Diocese of Bridgeport. The manual became effective on June 30, 2026.

The updated manual replaces all previous versions, including the 1983 Pastoral Book and the manual issued on January 1, 2023. Bishop Caggiano stated that the revisions were necessary to address changing circumstances encountered over the last few years. The decree applies to all priests currently serving in the diocese and those assigned to pastoral ministry by the bishop or his successors.
