Bishop Frank J. Caggiano celebrates Mass of Hope & Healing at St. Mary of Stamford Parish

Bishop Frank J. Caggiano celebrated the fifth annual Lourdes Retreat and Mass of Hope and Healing at St. Mary of Stamford Parish on September 27. Hundreds of people from the Diocese of Bridgeport and surrounding areas attended the event to pray the rosary, participate in a procession, and bring personal petitions to the Blessed Mother.

During the Mass, which Father Juan Colon and Deacon John DiTaranto assisted, a woman named Grace shared a testimony regarding her brother's recovery from stage-three cancer following prayers from family and friends. In his homily, Bishop Caggiano told the congregation that healing requires being people of hope. He also referenced Pope Leo XIV’s recent visit to the shrine in Lourdes, France, where the pope addressed a crowd of 250,000 people and encouraged them to act as missionaries of hope.
