Bishop Frank J. Caggiano promulgates Parish Finance Manual

Bishop Frank J. Caggiano has issued a decree establishing the Parish Finance Manual as the law governing the administration of temporal goods within the Diocese of Bridgeport. The manual, which went into effect on September 30, 2026, provides updated policies, procedures, and best practices for managing Church property and finances.

The Bishop revised the manual to ensure the transparent and accountable administration of ecclesiastical goods in accordance with universal Church law and the pastoral needs of the diocese. The provisions apply to all diocesan personnel subject to these regulations.

The diocese is communicating the manual through the official diocesan website, the diocesan newspaper, The Fairfield County Catholic, and via electronic and postal mail to relevant personnel.
