First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Cardinal Mario Grech, the general secretary of the Synod of Bishops, called for a renewed commitment to support families through the Gospel during the second day of a meeting dedicated to the apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia on October 8.

Grech urged participants to welcome the experiences of families with gratitude, describing them as genuine examples of hope even during difficult times. He stated that the Gospel serves as the foundational voice that must inspire all authentic Christian pastoral action.

During the same meeting, Farrell emphasized the need for local churches to identify specific challenges and examine available resources to better reach families.
