The Diocese of Jaén has selected an official logo for the upcoming Diocesan Jubilee Year, which commemorates the 800th anniversary of the apparition of the Virgin of the Cabeza. The winning design, titled "800 years of faith, history, and devotion," was created by artist Francisco Galán Galán.

A jury chose the proposal from more than 25 entries submitted from different points in the geography and from other countries, such as Brazil. The design uses the number 8 to represent the pilgrim's path and the infinite nature of a devotion passed down through generations. The competition sought a versatile graphic brand that could be adapted to various formats and media.

The Jubilee Year is scheduled to begin on October 4.
