Fr Flader answers questions about St Carlo Acutis

Fr. John Flader shared details about the life and devotion of St. Carlo Acutis, focusing on the young man's commitment to the Eucharist.

Acutis, who died of leukemia at age 15 on October 12, 2006, made his first Communion at age seven despite his parents not being practicing Catholics. He attended daily Mass, prayed before the tabernacle, and participated in regular Eucharistic Adoration. He also prayed the rosary daily and went to confession every week. Flader noted that Acutis referred to the Eucharist as his highway to heaven.

Acutis used his coding skills to catalog more than 100 reported Eucharistic miracles in a website he launched in 2004. His digital work included documenting miracles in locations such as Poland, Mexico, and Buenos Aires. Earlier in his life, he created a parish webpage in Milan and a website to promote volunteering, which earned him a national award.
