Bishop Joseph Dabrowski celebrates Multicultural Mass

Bishop Joseph Dabrowski celebrated the Multicultural Mass for the Diocese of Hamilton on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King. The liturgy coincided with the World Day of Migrants and Refugees to celebrate the various cultures and traditions within the diocesan community.

During the Mass, the liturgy incorporated several languages, including an Italian Gloria, a Spanish First Reading, an Eritrean Second Reading, and a Polish Gospel. The Prayers of the Faithful were also offered in multiple languages, and the Preparation of the Gifts included cultural performances and music.

Bishop Dabrowski served as the principal celebrant and noted in his homily that the different languages and experiences of the faithful enrich the life of the Church. He was joined by Bishop Emeritus Douglas Crosby, Monsignor Murray Kroetsch, Father David Walter, and other priests from the diocese.
