Bishop blesses new Society of St. Vincent de Paul headquarters in Villamartín
First source report
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Virgen de las Montañas, inaugurated its new headquarters in Villamartín on Tuesday. Bishop José Rico Pavés of the Diocese of Asidonia-Jerez presided over the blessing of the facilities at 32 Ronda Avenue.
The project began on May 10, 2023, when the bishop presided over the blessing of the first stone. The new building provides a space for the society to welcome and meet with vulnerable people as part of its charitable work. The society, known locally as las Conferencias, has performed solidarity work in Villamartín since 1926.
