Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

The Argentine Episcopal Conference issued suggestions for pastoral communities to prepare for the upcoming visit of Pope Leo XIV.

In a statement released October 23, the conference president, Archbishop Colombo of Mendoza, and the general secretary, Auxiliary Bishop Pizarro of San Isidro, proposed several ways for local churches to prepare. The bishops suggested including a special intention for the papal visit during the prayers of the faithful. They also recommended reciting a specific prayer for the visit before the final blessing and making announcements to encourage participation and registration for scheduled events.

The conference proposed a specific prayer intention asking that the visit encourages Argentines to live the commandment of love to build the common good.
