The incredible story behind Blessed Sheen’s official portrait
First source report
Daprato Rigali Studios created the official portrait of Blessed Fulton Sheen for his beatification Mass. Bishop Lou Tylka of Peoria and the beatification planning committee commissioned the studio to produce the artwork, which was unveiled during the Mass.
Lead artist Plamen Petrov painted the portrait. A team of artisans from the studio also crafted the altar, the ambo, and the pedestal used during the beatification ceremony. Daprato Rigali Studios has operated since 1860, specializing in decorative painting, stained glass, and marble fabrication.
