The Archdiocese of Medellín identifies the need for a missionary transformation of pastoral life

The Archdiocese of Medellín reports that current social changes require new ways of thinking and acting within the Church. The archdiocese notes that technological developments, political shifts, and the rise of artificial intelligence contribute to a secularized culture that prioritizes individual autonomy.

These social trends make it difficult to transmit the faith within families. The archdiocese states that Christian life risks becoming a private matter, where Church membership is no longer part of daily experience and religious practice is reduced to social or cultural events.

To address these challenges, the archdiocese says pastoral leaders must work to form a new generation of disciples. This work includes starting evangelization processes, offering spiritual life proposals, and building Christian communities.
