The Archdiocese of Barquisimeto has started the University Route of Holiness to follow the example of Saint José Gregorio Hernández. The program was launched by the archdiocese's public university ministry.
This initiative is part of the diocesan pastoral planning and follows the guidelines of the Conference Episcopal Venezolana.

The Archdiocese of Barquisimeto has introduced Abrazo en Familia 2026 and begun the deployment of the Ruta de la Familia. The Family Ministry presented the new archdiocesan project during the FestiFe 2026 event.
The Ruta de la Familia will consist of a tour covering various areas as part of this project.

The Diocese of El Vigía-San Carlos del Zulia held celebrations on October 26 for the feast of Saint José Gregorio Hernández. The events marked the second anniversary of the canonization of Saint José Gregorio Hernández.
Parishes across the diocese observed the feast through the traditional novena and a central celebration. Two simultaneous Eucharistic celebrations took place at 6:30 p.m. at the Diocesan Sanctuary of Saint José Gregorio Hernández in the Las Cumbres sector and at the Saint José Gregorio Hernández Rectory in the Villa Milenio sector. The sanctuary at the Our Lady of Fatima Parish houses the relics of the saint.
During the ceremonies, priests spoke about the life of Saint José Gregorio Hernández, noting how he integrated his medical profession with his Christian faith and service to others.
