Bishop Basilio Mamani presides over All Saints' Day Mass

Bishop Basilio Mamani, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of La Paz, presided over the Mass for the Solemnity of All Saints on Sunday at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels.

During his homily, Mamani stated that holiness is a dynamic way of life rather than a set of abstract promises. He said true happiness is found in loving, serving, forgiving, working for justice, and building peace instead of accumulating wealth or seeking power.

The bishop identified three central calls for the Christian community. He called for a humble heart characterized by openness to God and a lack of attachment to material things. He also described mercy as an active effort to alleviate the suffering of others. Mamani urged the people of Bolivia to overcome resentment and division by practicing dialogue and recognizing one another as brothers and sisters.
