First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV blessed Marie-Garance, a child with severe disabilities, on the Champs-Élysées during his visit to France on September 26, 2026.

Clothilde Noël, the child's adoptive mother, told Aleteia that the image of the blessing spread widely across social media and throughout the country. Noël, who is part of a family of ten children, noted that the moment served as a reminder of the dignity of vulnerable lives and the families who care for them.
