CNBB issues message on human dignity

The National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB) issued a message to the Church and society to mark the Dia do Nascituro on October 8. The bishops from the Comissão Especial de Bioética and the Comissão Episcopal para a Vida e a Família stated that human life is a sacred gift from God that requires protection from conception until natural death.

The bishops called on people to recognize and respect the unique dignity and rights of every human being. They urged the faithful to strengthen their commitment to defending human dignity in response to modern challenges.
