Spanish Episcopal Conference incorporates Pope Leo XIV's teachings into pastoral lines

The Spanish Episcopal Conference is integrating the teachings of Pope Leo XIV into the Church's pastoral action in Spain. During the 274th meeting of the Permanent Commission held on September 29 and 30 in Madrid, bishops decided to incorporate the orientations the Pope shared during his visit to Spain from June 6 to 12.

Various commissions, subcommissions, and offices of the conference are reviewing their specific areas of work to apply the implications of the Pope's speeches and homilies. These updated guidelines will be presented at the next Plenary Assembly scheduled for November 16 to 20.

The bishops also discussed the synodal process, a proposal for a new lay ministry dedicated to charity, and various educational and pastoral initiatives.
