Vatican Journey to France

Pope Leo XIV prays at Lourdes for France

First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV prayed at the Grotto of Massabielle in Lourdes on Saturday, September 26, to ask for peace, the protection of human rights, and an end to hatred and violence in France. During this second stop of his apostolic journey, the Pope entrusted the poorest and most unfortunate people to the Virgin Mary.

In his prayer, the Pope asked for wise and generous leaders for France who would serve the common good and reject the logic of war. He requested that these leaders use France's voice to promote world peace and defend fundamental human rights. He also prayed for fraternal harmony so that the country can build a peaceful society where people can work, start families, and live with tranquility.
