Pope Leo XIV declines to comment on White Sox playoff return

First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV declined to comment on whether he influenced the Chicago White Sox's return to the playoffs. While traveling to France, the pope told a reporter he had no comment when asked if the team's recent success was a miracle or if he had anything to do with it.

The pope, who was born and raised in Chicago, expressed his excitement for the team by stating that great things happen in Chicago. This diplomatic response follows a previous incident in June when his preference for the Real Madrid soccer club caused tension with fans in Barcelona.
