First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV met with bishops from the French Episcopal Conference on Sunday morning at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes. During the meeting at the Sainte-Bernadette auditorium, the pope encouraged the bishops to renew their missionary zeal and protect the freedom of the Church to preach the Gospel.

Addressing the bishops, Pope Leo XIV urged them to rise with hope and not grow weary. He told the group that their shared mission is to know and love Jesus Christ, and he called on them to lead young people toward him. This address took place during the pope's four-day visit to the shrine.
