First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV will celebrate the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees on Sunday, September 27. The theme for this year is "Even one of these little ones," which focuses on the reality of migrating children and adolescents.

The Pope's message emphasizes the need to welcome these minors as a sign of the society people want to build. He stated that welcoming migrant children is an act of humanity and faith where the Lord can be found.

In the Diocese of Jaén, human rights activist Sani Ladan will participate in related events. On Friday, September 25, Ladan will present his book, "El latir de un continente," at the Josefa Segovia Center to analyze the causes of African migration and the situation at the southern border. On Saturday, September 26, he will lead a workshop at the Buena Madre Center on political advocacy to improve the reception of seasonal workers during the olive harvest.
