Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV concluded his visit to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes with a candlelit procession through the center of the shrine. During the visit, the pope presented himself as a pilgrim among pilgrims.

The visit included a mass on the Prairie and prayer at the Grotto of Massabielle. According to Vatican News, the pope encouraged the faithful to continue their journeys of faith, inspired by the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary.

A group of 94 pilgrims from the Diocese of Nice traveled to the site to participate in the visit alongside Bishop Jean-Philippe Nault and Father Michel Dejouy. The pilgrims joined thousands of other people, including families, young people, priests, bishops, and the sick, for various prayer services and celebrations.
