Pope Leo XIV greets athletes at Dakar Olympics

Pope Leo XIV blessed more than 2,600 young athletes participating in the Dakar Olympic Games during his Angelus address. The games represent the first Olympic event organized on the African continent and are scheduled to continue until November 13.

The Pope also remembered the Franciscan missionaries beatified in Savannah, Georgia, and encouraged the Misión con los pobres organized by Franciscan families in Rome.
