Bishops of Mexico entrust Pope Leo XIV to Our Lady of Guadalupe

First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Bishops in Mexico have entrusted the health of Pope Leo XIV to Our Lady of Guadalupe following his diagnosis of lung cancer. The bishops encouraged the faithful to pray for the pontiff as he undergoes medical treatment.

According to Vida Nueva, the Church in Mexico called for a prayer campaign from October 12 to October 18 to support the Pope. This follows a scheduled operation to address a nodule in his lung. ACI Prensa reported that the bishops placed the Pope under the protection of the Virgin of Guadalupe following his surgery.
